In the first 2 weeks, we've covered the basic function of AutoCAD and learned to construct straight lines with polar coordinate, annotate with dimensions, and also changing the colour of the annotations. The below screenshots are exercises given in class on the 6th of September 2016.
Next, we learned to construct curve lines, with circles and arcs, and also few commands such as Move, Copy, Rotate, Mirror, Scale, Stretch, Offset, Array, Explode,Trim, Extend, Fillet and Chamfer. Below are screenshots of class exercises that put our understandings of these commands to test. (13th of September 2016)
After these, we were given our first assignment. The task is to draw the plan and elevation of our previous shelter design project. A title block is required and simple annotations are inserted along with the dimensions. We were also taught to print it in scale on an A4 paper. (submission date of this assignment: 27.09.16)
After the completion of assignment 1, our next lesson was learning more about annotations and drawing a table. We learned how to adjust arrow heads, text height and different annotation method in detail. We also learned the correct steps of constructing a table, and also to work with the simple calculation functions.
